They come in many colours as possible and shapes, making them useful for incorporation in an assorted of jewelry projects. Its sizes ranges from size 1 -3.

2. You need to be very patient due to the size of the bead, it's so tiny and does not seem to move fast while making a design. Hence, patience  and concentration is needed in order not to make mistakes.

3. Be ready to have more needles to work with in your disposal. Depending on some designs, you may end up using a whole pack of needles.

Materials needed for these are:
fishing line, needle, seed beads and hook.

Steps to make spiral design
1. Cut your desired fishing  line and insert your needle.

2. Pick 8 Seed beads(SB)and pass your needle upside down through the four SB underneath.

3. Pick 5SB and push away 4 SB and pass your needle into four SB ( I.e the 1 SB remaining from the five you dropped, add 3 SB under plus 1 and pass the needle into the four SB at once)

4. Continue this process by dropping 5SB and passing your needle into four SB until you get your desired length.

5. Then attach your hook.

Note: You can combine two colors here in order to bring out the beauty and if you intend to double your spiral that means you will have to do it one layer at a time.

 Abuja Connection Pattern

This design is so lovely and easy to make when you follow the procedure. Depending on your choice, you can make it with a bigger beads all through or seed beads or mix of seed bead and crystal bead...that will be lovely right? Smiles...

Now let's get to work, you will be needing an 0.30m fishing line or cord, needles, clasps, scissors, bigger beads (I love crystals) and our beautiful seed bead (you can use any colour you prefer).

Step 1: Cut a length of fishing line (this will depend on the length of your neckline) and insert the needle on both sides of the line.
You can as well do it without needle, the needle only make your work easier and faster.

Step 2: Add 3 SB( seed beads) and interlock with 1 CB( crystal Bead)

Step 3: On each side of the line, you pick 6 SB and interlock with 1 CB.

Step 4: Add 1CB on each side then interlock with 1 CB.

Now repeat step 3 & 4 all over again till you get to your desired length.
When you are done with that stage, its time to add new layers and  go to the second stage.

Step 5: insert a fishing line to one of the middle beads on the  edge part of the first stage and add 2 SB on the right hand side of the line and interlock with 1 CB on the left line.

Step 6: Add 7 SB on each sides of the line (the seed beads here will increase by one) and interlock with 1 CB.

Step 7: Add 1 CB on each sides of  the line and interlock with 1 CB. Then continue step 6&7 till you finish the second stage.

N: B  For every layer, the number of beads will increase by 1.
Follow the same pattern if you decide to add more layers. For the third stage, the seed bead will be 8 in number and it continues  like that for as many layers as possible.
Note: The middle beads will always remain four in number. Then finish your necklace by adding your clasps or hook.
Awesome...the Abuja connection design is ready.  I am sure you can make your creations from seed beads now. I hope you find this post very helpful.
