10 Things You Need To Know Before You Start Making A Jewelry

Jewelry is an accessory that I love so much. Why did I say that? This is because it's one of the ways you adorn yourself, it makes you beautiful, strong, loved and bring out the beauty of your outfit. There is this joy you feel when you wear something nice, you know...smiles. It's designs are quite different from one another.

Psychologists have explained that human beings are so unique from one another. To buttress my point, i will use this scenario;  two sisters or even twins when asked to create a design either on beads or things around, when you look closely and carefully in that which they have done, you will find out that there is a uniqueness in it- I mean it's different from the other. And that's explains why the designs won't be done the same way, the mixture of the colours used, its firmness, materials combined, its finishing and the way it will be packaged.

What is the reason  behind their actions?
Each individual has different experiences and components that make up his/ her personality. This is termed as ' individual differences' meaning no two people are the same. Even finger prints are never the same with another person.

However, many designers crave a need to be special and unique so they seek  that their product are being distinguished from multitude of other designers. The decision to start making a jewelry is really a good one but you need the right skills and information to be a successful entrepreneur. And that's the essence of this post. Here, I will list nine points for you to be aware of before venturing into it.

I. Knowledge is power: The Bible states that ' my people perish for lack of knowledge' learning is a permanent change in behavior due to experience. When you have the knowledge of it either you enroll in a training school ( you can ask around, those that gives training on bead making and accessories) or you learn on YouTube. The internet is always there to learn anything you desire. Be knowledgeable. Have the basics before you start yours so you don't fumble and fall.

2. Understand Your Capital:  Start with the little amount of you and trust me...it will turn into something bigger. Do not despise the days of little beginning. You don't need a million naira to start, even if it's #10,000 that you have, start with it first and then with consistency, dedication, passion it will grow.

3. Get Quality Materials: It is much better to buy a quality product that is worth it and will stand the test of time than purchasing a  lower less quality product. Be sure you get the materials for your product in a good place with good quality to maintain the good relationship you have with your customers. Let them have good confident in you that you deliver extraordinary result and they will surely come back to buy from you or  refer people to you.

4. Be consistent: Consistency is key in business, always let your clients return to see different jewelry designs on regular basis. Be consistent in your branding.

5. Comfortablilty: Always try to make a comfortable designs that you know your clients can use very well. If you can't wear it yourself, then do not sell it out. Unless on some extreme cases where the customers request for it personally.

6. Time Consuming: Jewelry and bead accessories take so much time to make, you have to be prepared for it and know how you can manage your time well so it won't affect any other thing.

7. Be Different: Adopting new products before others do is one way of being different. Make your product unique and different from others. Learn how to share your accessories on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram with the aid of using good quality phones and writing short description about the items to relate with your customers properly.

8. Be Patient: Patience is one of the fruits of the spirit as a Christian. You need to be patient, not only when it comes to making a jewelry but also in all aspects, the way you relate with people and situation requires that you should be patient. Do not be in a rush, be good at what you do and before you know it, you will be a voice to reckon with.

9. Be Innovative: There are many competitors around you, all you have to do is to make your business stand out from the crowd by being innovative with your designs. Add some spice to your products...smiles.

10. The God Factor: This point should have come first but it's  in no particular order. Before you can venture into anything, you have to trust God for help, by leaning on him,you cannot do it by yourself because sometimes you will want to give up, but his grace will always be available for you to scale through. And since he created you and knows more than you, you are never to forget him, trust in him in all that you do and he shall direct your path.

Now that you know what to do, you have all it takes at all disposal.
The time to start is NOW!!!
