The Beauty of Floral Bead Design

Beads on its own comes in different shapes, sizes and colours, all for different purposes and outfits. There are one thousand and one designs that are available in making bead accessories. One of such designs is the Floral Design I will be explaining to you here in this blog. This design can be made and used in two ways...all depends on how you would connect  and combine them together.

What are the materials for this Design?
Fishing line is one of the important tools you will be needing here. There are different types and sizes though... But 0.30mm will be preferable here.
Followed by, crystal beads(CB) of size 6 or 8(your choice) and seed beads(SB) are quite needed (size 3) and other tools which include; the cutter, plier, hook or jump rings and the tape for measurement.

Steps To Follow
Measure a 18  inches length of 0.30mm fishing line with your tape and cut it out with your cutter or scissors.

1. Drop 5 CB of size 6 into the fishing line and close with 1 CB to interlock.
2. On the right hand side of the fishing line; drop 5 SB and interlock with 1 SB, then pass the left line into the next bead.
3. Continue to repeat step 2&3 until you've gotten to the last CB.

When you get to the last CB, pass the fishing line out of the last CB, then  drop 6 SB and tie gentle, then pass the left fishing line to all the 6 Crystal beads to make your work tight and tie twice once you are through.

Cut out your left over fishing line.
Make sure it is very neat, then make as many florals as possible.

The Beauty of Floral Design
After making many florals as you desire, one of the beauty there is to connect them together in two ways to make your necklace and you could as well add seed beads in between your florals while connecting them to make another design. I will advise you to come up with the first method of connecting all the florals alone together which you can rock as necklace.
   Nevertheless, I will be showing you the second method of joining all the florals  with the use of seed beads. While I was working on this design, i made close to 16 florals but I ended up using 13 of them for my neckpiece plus the seed beads I added to it. These are the instructions you need;

Cut a small length of fishing line

1. Pick any part of the seed bead you would work with and pass your fishing line into the 3rd seed bead.
2. Pick 3 SB on the left and on the right as well
3. Get another floral and pass the fishing line into the 3rd SB  and tie neatly twice.
Continue step 2- 4 till you have successfully joined all the 13 florals together.

Add your hook or jump rings.
I am sure this post really helped. Thanks for reading and Happy Beading. Do well to comment if you find it helpful.

How To Attach A Clasp To A Fishing Line Before Stringing Your Beads.

Nothing is impossible for you if you believe. You can either attach your clasp before stringing your beads or when you are done with your designs. Whichever way, you are good to go. Here, in this post i will be showing you how to attach your clasp before you begin your beads.          There is an important tool in bead making that is needed here, it is used to crimp or flatten the stopper. The tool is called the ' flat nose plier' .
